“Not magic, just nutrition!
After struggling with getting weight and muscle on Poe, this spring I turned to Grey Horse Equine Nutrition for some help. Right away, I knew I was in good hands. Donna evaluated his current diet and came up with a plan that would address any gaps in his diet while still working within the boundaries of boarding (meaning, the same grain).
Poe started getting significantly more grain and hay, but fewer supplements. And, well, as you can see, it paid off. Between May 17 (the first photo) and August 8 (second photo), we had weekly calls addressing any concerns and questions, continuing to tweak his diet.
As a result, he started gaining weight and muscle, and even outgrew his saddle (RIP my wallet).
Donna’s got us on the right path now, and we’re focusing on how to continue to maintain, but the difference is nothing short of staggering. Truly cannot speak highly enough of working with an actual nutrition advisor and so grateful for the change we’ve achieved. ”
Poe’s transformation
“Donna was wonderful. She helped me simplify my horse’s diet. She was understanding of my concerns & helped make a well balanced nutrition plan. Working with her definitely opened my eyes to what many horses are probably lacking. She didn’t push any products or brands. She was honest and always available to answer any questions. I highly recommend her for anyone who wants to stop the cycle of binge purchasing supplements. ”
